This photo is special to me, as our conversations in Grandads last few months mostly consisted of me holding his hand and telling him that he didn’t need to be scared. I would tell him how much we love him and how much we knew he loved us. On this particular day, the photo was probably taken after Grandad threatening to chase me down the garden once he gets himself out of bed, because i wouldn’t get him up! The one thing he never lost was his smile and his humour. On the worst of days, he could never fail to make me smile. And for some of his worst days, i’m happy I was able to be there to make him smile too. You very quickly became my whole world and my best friend and I will miss you with every passing day. I love you endlessly xxxx
